Visions of Life Under Many Experiences Records (V.O.L.U.M.E. Records) is the brain-child of Tomika D. Harris. Founded in 1994, V.O.L.U.M.E. Records was design to be a platform for newand upcoming artist in the Metro Birmingham, Alabama area. As a young woman with a passion for music of all kinds; Tomika entered the music world as a MC/ Rapper performing and promoting other artist in many of Birmingham’s musical venues. With much hard work, diligence and the support of her mother Beverly A. Harris- Mitchell; Tomika was able to gain much love and respect in a world mostly ruled by men. Though Tomika enjoyed performing, she soon found that her true calling was the business part of the Music Industry which Beverly was once again her biggest supporter. After much success, Tomika stepped away from the business part of the Music Industry to focus on raising her young niece and nephew, who desperately needed her. She also started her own family which include one boy and one girl, but she never stopped writing music and supporting the development of new talent. In late 2020 Tomika decide to focus on her true calling once again by reactivating V.O.L.U.M.E. Records and introduced the music world to “We A’int Playing Management”, like so many times in the past Beverly was right there to back her on. Tomika now serves as the C.E.O./ President of both companies. V.O.L.U.M.E. Records and “We A’int Playing Management” serves as the musical home for artist in and around Birmingham, Alabama and Detroit, Michigan. As Tomika’s vision grows, so does V.O.L.U.M.E. Records and “We A’int Playing Management”. Tomika has always got her eyes and ears open for new talent. Tomika firmly believes what Beverly always told her “You should never give up on your dream”.
